Golf: Basic Rules

Golf's goal is to finish a course with the fewest strokes. Players use various clubs to hit a ball into holes marked by flags, with the winner having the lowest total strokes.

Golf Course:
Courses usually have 18 holes (or 9 for a shorter game). Each hole includes a tee box, fairway, green, and hazards like bunkers or water.

Rules and Gameplay:

  • Teeing Off: Players start by teeing off from the tee box.
  • Hitting the Ball: Different clubs are used for distance and precision; drivers for long shots, irons/wedges for approach shots, and putters for the green.
  • Scoring: The aim is to complete holes in the fewest strokes, ideally under par.
  • Penalties: Players face penalties for out-of-bounds shots, lost balls, and other infractions.
  • Etiquette: Respect and sportsmanship are key, with players keeping quiet, not disturbing others, and repairing the course.
