Under the PCMLTFA and its regulations, we may verify your identity by referring to information in your credit file or by referring to a photo identification document issued by an approved government agency.
Credit File Method
The Canadian credit file method can be utilized for the verification of Canadian players only.
For verification through the credit file method, Betano must ensure that:
- The credit file has been in existence for at least three years.
- The information obtained is valid and current.
- The information contained in the credit file is derived from more than one source.
- The name, address, and date of birth all match your information.
Government-Issued Photo Identification Method
Upload one of the following documents (photographed or scanned), which should be authentic (issued by a federal, provincial, or territorial government), valid (unaltered), and current (not expired):
- Passport
- Driver's license
- Alien identity card
- Permanent resident card
- Canadian citizenship card (issued prior to 2012)
- Secure Certificate of Indian Status
- Provincial services card (e.g. Ontario Photo Card)
- Provincial or territorial identity card
- Global entry card
- NEXUS card
